Diets™ Potato & Duck Formula
is a proven formula for dogs with allergies based on
our unique single source protein and single source carbohydrate
blend.
Some
dogs may be highly sensitive to commonly used proteins,
carbohydrates and food additives in their diet. Allergic
reactions can lead to irritable bowel, upset stomach,
and a number of skin problems. Natural Balance®
has created Potato and Duck formula for dogs with these
food allergies. Our Potato and Duck formula combines
fresh duck, (no by-products), a single source of animal
protein that most dogs have not been exposed to, and
a single source of carbohydrate not commonly found in
dog foods, along with effective natural ingredients
to help rebuild the dog's immune system.

Puppies can begin nibbling on moistened Natural
Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets™
Potato & Duck Dry Dog Food before they are weaned.
From six weeks to six months, feed three times a
day. You may want to add a small amount of Natural
Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets™
Duck & Potato Canned
Dog Food for ease of feeding. The amount of
canned dog food can be gradually decreased as the
puppy matures. After six months, it is recommended
to feed twice daily.

weight is most important for your dog’s health.
Consult your veterinarian for specific weight recommendations
for your dog. Remember, fresh clean water should

Adult Adult dogs should be fed either once or twice
per day. When you first start feeding Natural Balance®
L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets™ Potato &
Duck Formula, we suggest to start with the amounts recommended
in the Table. Energy requirements vary with environmental
conditions, temperature and activity of your dog. The
amount of food should always be adjusted to suit your
dog’s needs.
Pregnant
Females (See Our Feeding

Minimal increase needed during first 6 weeks.
Weeks 7, 8, & 9 increase up to 25%.
Lactating

Immediately after whelping, the nutritional demand increases
by 50% compared to maintenance levels. Feed in 3 equal
meals per day.
Working
Dogs Based on the work your dog will be asked to
perform, the nutritional requirements will vary accordingly.
As the work load increases, the demand for protein and
fat increases proportionally. Dogs in hard training
will generally require twice the maintenance levels.
The
Older Dog As your dog begins to age, his energy
expenditure will decrease. Decreasing the amount of
food accordingly will allow for the maintenance of proper
body weight for less active dog. |

FEEDING
MANAGEMENT |
| We
recommend that you do not add vitamins, minerals or
any other supplements, except upon the advice of a veterinarian.
When switching your dog’s diet, the change should
be made gradually, by replacing the current food with
increasing portions of Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited
Ingredient Diets™ Potato & Duck formula. The
change should be completed after 3 to 5 days. The maintenance
of proper body weight is most important for your dog’s
health. Consult your veterinarian for specific weight
recommendations for your dog. Remember, fresh clean
water should be available at all times! |

English Sheepdog had such digestive problems. He was constantly
having bowel problems. My vet recommended I switch foods
until I could find one that suited Winston. Someone at

Standard Poodle, Angel, will be 13 years-old the end of
May. She is our most precious companion. Angel has allergy
problems so we have been challenged over these wonderful
years with her trying to find a dog food she likes as
well as can tolerate. More recently Angel developed a
poor appetite, a cist 3/4-inch in diameter on the left
side of her neck, and a bit of uncontrolable urine leakage.

wanted to tell you about our 7-yr. old Jack Russell, Maggie,
who is doing so well on the Natural Balance®
L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets™ Potato
and Duck Formula. She has suffered for several
years with IBD, and has been on medication for most of
that time. Several months ago we started her on Natural

for my 3 year old yellow lab, Charlie! We have been
fighting recurrent ear infections plus stomach upset
for a whle. Charlie would go outside and eat grass several
times a week so he could vomit and his stools would
be loose too. His ears were red and inflammed. We were
treating his ears with Otomax way too often. My vet
finally thought maybe this was all food related and
suggested a duck and potato food. Since I had never
heard of such a food, I was hesitant in my search for
